This past Sunday I celebrated my 50th birthday while at the Cross Schools Campus services. Normally my birthday doesn’t mean that much to me personally, it is just a number. However, this one seemed to take on particular significance. More of my life is behind than in front of me.
There is a thankfulness that I feel making it this far when so many I have come to know and love have not . There is also an increased focus to make the greatest impact with the years I have left. It is one of the questions I am absolutely sure I will have to answer when I stand before the Lord on that day; “What did you do with the time I gave you?” Thank you to so many that have come along side to assist me in answering this question. We’re all in this together!
Huge thanks for the video made and shared for me on Sunday (view here ) by Josh Hicks and my daughter Katie. There I was listening to Johnny Cash, Emma Dewey, Faith Sulak, Cross School and countless others wishing me a Happy Birthday! I’m overwhelmed.
Glorify God and Enjoy Him Forever!
