One of the most important ways to get connected at The Church of the Cross joining a Bible Study or small group to be in community with other Believers.

Studies to Consider … Learn, Share, Grow

There are many opportunities to study and grow in your faith at The Church of the Cross. Bible Studies, teachings, and small groups are continuously being added. Here are some of the studies offered at various times throughout the year. To read more on any of the studies below, simply click the toggle icon where you can contact the ministry leaders to learn more about each group and get connected.

Alpha is designed to create a space for honest conversations about faith and discussing some of life’s biggest questions. It provides an opportunity to connect with one another while sharing thoughts, ideas, and opinions in a safe and caring environment. Each session will begin with a connection time with some light appetizers, content time with a short teaching, and end with a conversation around your table. If you have been a part of Alpha previously, and are interested in facilitating, please contact Barb Ready at barbready@thechurchofthecross.net for more information.

LIFE IS BETTER IN COMMUNITY

In a small home group with other believers, we are encouraged and challenged. We are able to be real and comforted knowing we are not alone in our faith walk. We are able to grow closer to God with others.

We are starting HOME GROUPS/SMALL GROUPS and are looking for leaders to get this going! You do not need to have a theology degree to help lead a home group. Contact Barb Ready for the next steps in getting involved as a leader or if you want to hear more about the vision and get plugged in.

The Crossroads Ministry is a small group, in-home Bible Study focused on building relationships, as well as encouraging and equipping women to live for Jesus. Groups gather at various times, days, and in homes all over the Bluffton area. For more information, email Sue Kelley

Every week men gather in small groups at different times and different locations to pray for one another, encourage one another, and consider how Scripture informs our lives. For those of you looking for a tight-knit band to help you navigate life, grow in grace and knowledge of the Scriptures, and work to see your lives changed so you are more like Jesus, these groups are for you. Contact Barb Ready to get connected with a group.

This men’s study will be conducted virtually using Zoom and led by Pastor Jonathan.

Exploring the intersection of spiritual and physical well-being, participants will delve into scriptural teachings on health, mindfulness, and the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Discussions will center around the book, focusing on a chapter a week. (Books will be provided at the first session.)
