Reframed Disappointment
You may have heard about NASAs latest attempts to launch the Artemis 1 SLS (Space Launch System) rocket. When it occurs, this will be an unmanned test launch that is part of the Artemis program to return Astronauts to the moon by 2025. When I made my reservation to be at Kennedy Space Center for the launch, I did not realize it was for NASA’s most powerful rocket ever and would draw huge crowds!
Wrestling with God
In Genesis 32, we find a strange story of Jacob wrestling with God through the night. This is where we find the name “Israel” for the first time. God renamed Jacob “Israel” which means “wrestles with God.”

The Mended Wood
I had a conversation this week with a friend from Church who, upon my recommendation, purchased The Green Ember series of books (or, as we call them in my home, the Bunny Books). That conversation was promoted by a note I received from her, mentioning how brutal the first book seemed. She’s right. Halfway through the first book, there seems to be only devastation and sorrow as Heather and Pickett, two young rabbits at play, return to find their home burnt to the ground.

Knowing God
As I sit in my office this week, the students around me are having their knowledge tested. This is the most dreaded week of the year. As I welcomed students to school on Monday they said, “I don’t want to be here today.” These nationally normed tests will measure their knowledge of all the core subjects.
We Gathered To Celebrate
What a glorious weekend celebrating with God’s people! For the record, we had 17 services through Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday. With our online presence and in person worship, we reached over 3,000 people for God’s glory.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
