What is a Legacy? It is planting seeds in a garden you never get to see grow. If we are fortunate, we get the chance to observe some of those seeds grow in those we lead and teach.
This past Sunday at the 10:30 am CrossPoint service I had the high privilege to pray over young men and women that I have cared for since my arrival over nine years ago. As a priest, it never occurred at this stretch in my life that I would have invested so much time into young people. I was certainly not looking for it, yet I walked through a door that only God could have opened and I am forever changed. That is often how life transpires when God surprises, in inopportune times, with inopportune gifts, at inopportune moments.
Thank you, Church, for investing in young people that will forever change eternity. This is the way of Providence, and only when we look back do we realize it was in the perfect time, with perfect gifts, at the perfect moment. Love. Legacy. God.
Glorify God and enjoy Him forever!
