“Who can understand that Love which will open the high gates to a prodigal who is brought in kicking, struggling, resentful, and darting his eyes in every direction for a chance to escape…. The hardness of God is kinder than the softness of men, and His love is our liberation.” ~ C.S. Lewis
It is because of God’s nature we can never give up on anyone, all salvation (even ours) is a miracle of God. I have peace knowing that He can change even the most hardened heart.
I was reminded again as my older brother celebrated 13 years of being drug free. Once a homeless meth addict living on the streets of Memphis, God dramatically changed his life, and he has never been the same since. He now serves at one of the largest church’s in America (Hope Presbyterian) and has a ministry to hundreds of drug addicts.
It is impossible for me to communicate how great a miracle he is! So many may appear to us to be far from Christ, but in God’s eyes they are nearer to the Kingdom than any of us can possibly imagine.
If you want to hear how God did the impossible watch this video testimonial.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take away your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
