Spring has returned to the Lowcountry. The few lingering azalea blossoms are wilting; boats are appearing on the May River; our part-time residents are headed north; and I’ve put away my sweaters. When Becky and I arrived in 1996, activity in Bluffton slowed dramatically during the summer months, not that it was all that fast at other times! But now, we see no appreciable easing of the pace.

The summer slump in worship attendance experienced decades ago has evaporated along with any hints of reduced programming. In fact, the 2018 calendar for June-August will rival those of the previous three quarters in both variety and quantity of offerings for all ages. A highlight of the summer will be the August 5th reception and open house on the Cross Schools Campus to celebrate the completion of the $10,000,000 expansion funded by the generosity of those who are supporting
The Present for The Future capital campaign. Watch for more details on this special event and click here for more campaign information . . . I will be posting another video update on the construction in two weeks – the progress being made is amazing! Meanwhile, know that your prayers for our many ministry initiatives are appreciated.

As always, I am honored to be serving the Lord at your side.

It is enough if something from our hands has power to live, and act, and serve the future hour.
