What should we do when we have good news? Share it!
This past week I was delighted to receive some wonderful news of ministry multiplication from one of our Crossroads Small Group Bible Study leaders.
The Crossroads Ministry is a small group, in-home Bible Study at The Church of the Cross focused on building relationships, as well as encouraging and equipping women to live for Jesus. Groups gather at various times, days, and in homes all over the Bluffton area to go through books of the Bible together using a line by line study method.
This past summer, Sue Kelley, a Crossroads ministry leader, met a woman in New York state who does missionary work in Kenya and shared with her the Crossroads manual and method of study used at The Church of the Cross. This missionary then went on to share the Crossroads method of study and manual to review with a young man named Kevin who ministers to two large groups of women in Nairobi. Not only does Kevin share God’s Word with these women, but he also helps in providing food and water for them and for their children. The Crossroads format is now being used in Nairobi with two new groups of women!
The multiplication does not stop there. They hope to establish group leaders and multiply into smaller groups in the coming months of 2023. These women are so happy to be a part of the Crossroads Ministry from afar.
Good news is meant to be shared! A simple conversation can lead to multiplying the Gospel message and making disciples. God can take one connection and is able to do far more than all that we ask or think.
This Advent Season let us not grow weary of sharing the Good News which brings great joy for all people.
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11
Merry Christmas from the Nairobi Crossroads Women’s Bible Study!
