Over the years, I’ve regularly stood before hundreds of people to deliver what I pray will be a God-honoring sermon designed to make the Scriptures come to life for those in search of life. But try as I might, my best efforts pale in comparison to the sermons I’ve heard delivered by members of this congregation as I sat with them. I’ve spent hours preparing my thoughts . . . they’ve spent a lifetime. I stand in a pulpit or on a stage . . . they’re reclining in a hospital bed at home. My voice is amplified . . . they’re talking in whispers. I speak of faith . . . they’re modeling it. I know about the “valley of the shadow of death” . . . they’re passing through it. I’ve come to minister to them . . . they’re ministering to me. We know this might be my final visit . . . but, praise God, we believe it won’t be the last time we see each other!
May light perpetual shine upon them.

Get Involved with Our Ministries
One of the most important ways to get connected at The Church of the Cross is to first become a member of our congregation. If you are not a member and you are interested in learning more about membership, please call the Parish Office (843.757.2661) and speak to Sue.
Membership begins with an informal meeting with clergy. The next step in getting connected would be joining a Bible Study or small group to be in community with other Believers.
