As we are about to begin a new decade and a new year, this is the time that we often set goals and make resolutions for the months ahead. Many place reading through the entire Bible as one of their goals, but do not write it down because they fear it is unattainable.
I would encourage you to make reading God’s Word daily a goal in the year to come.
There are many resources available to make this task not so daunting and very attainable. You can do it!
Here are several resources to help you meet this goal~
(This is a wonderful app with commentaries for the New Testament, Old Testament, Psalm/Proverb passages for each day. Created by Nicky Gumbel, the Vicar of HTB in London and pioneer of Alpha. You can receive emails daily and/or download the App to your phone and listen to it.)
(This link provides you will quite a few options that include printable checklists to help you keep track of your readings.)

(Printable Bible reading plan from The Gospel Coalition)
There are many plans available beyond these few listed. Whether you follow a plan, checklist, or create your own plan of study, open the Holy Scriptures and allow Truth to transform you and light your path in 2020.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105
Word of God speak. Speak to us through Your Word daily. Open our hearts and minds to receive Truth. Transform us as we read and meditate on scripture. Teach us, Holy Spirit, and draw us deeper into our understanding and set our hearts on fire for Your Word. May our focus in 2020 be on You and strengthening our foundation so we can be Your hands and feet to those around us. Thank you in advance for the work You will do through the women of The Church of the Cross this year. It is not about us, our fleshly desires, and comfort, but may it be all about You and all about those that are far from You. May it be so, Lord. May it be so. Amen.
