I traveled these past few days to share quality time with family and old friends. My destination was Concord, North Carolina. Some traveled from New York State and their destination was the same…Concord, NC.
We had the same destination, our motivation for traveling was the same, but our journeys were different.
We all are travelers. We all are traveling the journey called life. We all have the same destination if we believe and if we lead a Christ focused life…but our journeys are as different and as varied as we all are.
Jesus is our Light, our beacon in times of darkness.
He is our Hope, as we look forward to an eternal future.
He is our Way, our road map…our Only Way to get to our most joyous destination.
I believe that we share a purpose to help one another along this journey to all be united with our Heavenly Father. We can do this by prayer, we can do this by leading a life by example, we can do this by sharing the Gospel with others, we can do this by extending our hearts, our resources and our hands to lift one another up.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. Matthew 16:24
