Two Ways to Celebrate God's Faithfulness!

First: Our New Children's Leader:

We have been praying for over a year for God to bring us a new children's leader for our growing parish.  Through prayer and patience, God has raised up someone from among us who has been a member of The Church of the Cross for several years . . . Michael-Anne Land.

Michael-Anne has served children well in various capacities for over ten years.  She has led classes and initiatives in Christian Montessori environments and led children's ministries in other churches.  As many of you may know, Michael-Anne has served in various capacities in The Church of The Cross children's ministries including large endeavors by providing critical vision and leadership for our last two Vacation Bible Schools.  If you've served in VBS at TCOTC, you know this is no small undertaking!

As we move forward with our new expansion at our Cross Schools Campus, Michael-Anne will be critical in providing vision, leadership, organization and energy for our expanding children's ministry there while continuing to provide oversight for our children and volunteer teachers at our Historic Campus.

We are grateful to Amy Weaver and Heidi Toon for their interim support in leadership this past year and are thankful Amy and Heidi will continue serving in specific roles including Amy continuing to lend support to Michael-Anne.

Please continue praying for Michael-Anne and our children's ministry as we celebrate God's faithfulness and continue to move towards a bright future.

Second: A New Opportunity for The Many Young Families Connecting to Our Parish:

Young Families are a fast-growing demographic in our parish.  It is a testimony to God's faithfulness to what is happening in our community through The Church of the Cross.

As such we want to provide support and encouragement for them during this critical stage of life.  As you know, a strong society requires strong families and strong families require a strong marriage.  Yet, marriages today face overwhelming back-breaking pressure.  We want to help support marriages and build healthy families in the face of difficult cultural circumstances.

When it comes to marriage and families, the Scriptures have time-tested wisdom towards building healthy homes.  As such, we are offering a six-session course targeting families with children who are living at home and going to school called "The Meaning of Marriage." The course was designed by Dr. Tim Keller of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan and continues to impact countless families for the better across the nation.

See you there,
