Taking Action & Making a Difference

Today 21,000 people will die from a hunger-related cause, one person every four seconds. One in every nine people on our planet go to bed hungry each night. We live in a country where few know the personal effects of not having enough to eat. We see the suffering from afar and feel compassion but don't know what to do. There are many of us who sponsor a Compassion Child or support an orphanage in Russia, but rarely do we have a chance to actually physically make a difference. This past Saturday at Cross Schools we did that very thing. Over 200 volunteers of all ages gathered and made 50,112 meals in less than two hours. Meals that will be taken to the neediest and most forgotten places on our planet. If the World Hunger Statistics are correct, all those involved kept the world from starving to death for two days! With so much suffering happening around our world we alleviated some of it this past weekend. I want to thank all of you for making it happen and look forward to our next Stop Hunger Now event in the Fall.

Jesus said, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40

Glorify God & Enjoy Him Forever!
