For a time such as this...

Over 150 years ago members of The Church of the Cross decided to build a Sanctuary much larger than their present congregation. Just a handful of people built a house of worship that could seat 500. Why? They had a vision for the future that was past their own. And Jesus said about the prophets, "others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor." So it has been with us, this present congregation is now reaping the benefits from actions made a century ago. We presently find ourselves at the dawn of a new vision. With explosive growth predicted for surrounding areas, the decisions we now make will affect not just us presently but those yet unborn. So on Monday night God's people gathered for our congregational meeting, the largest in our church's history. It became clear to everyone that we are on the edge of something borderline phenomenal. God gets all the Glory and yet He has raised us "for a time such as this." As it's been said before, "Some generations much is given, other generations much is expected, this generation has a rendezvous with Destiny." It's our time, that what we sow now will be reaped by countless souls in the years to come.
