A Night of Fun

Our “Monday Night Main Event” began in 2015 with the hope that we would bring the generations together.  It’s a night filled with laughing, a children’s message, a family craft and dinner and has been a huge success.  This past Monday we had our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest – 220 people (half were children), three judges and trophies for the winners.  It was a night of great excitement and blessing.  A couple of things stood out.  First, Father Owens was so right in including the expansion of the gym in the goals of the current capital campaign.  There simply was not enough space to fit everyone comfortably.  Secondly, many parents and children were present from Cross Schools.  God is using Cross Schools, and even a Pumpkin Carving Contest, as an entrance point to life in our Church.  It is important to see the effort begum many years ago to the present.

“[We] have become all things to all people so that by all possible means [we] might save some.”                                                                                                                                (1 Corinthians 9:22b)

Glorify God and Enjoy Him Forever!
