For decades Church leaders have diminished their summer schedules anticipating folks will be giving other activities a priority. Services are often combined, Christian education offerings suspended, office hours reduced, and Vacation Bible School (if any) seen as an adequate replacement for all children and youth activities. Our planning has never reflected a June - August hiatus; and this year's experience again certifies the "summer doldrums" to be a myth at The Church of the Cross. Note the following....Keep Reading

Spring has returned to the Lowcountry. The few lingering azalea blossoms are wilting; boats are appearing on the May River; our part-time residents are headed north; and I've put away my sweaters. When Becky and I arrived in 1996, activity in Bluffton slowed dramatically during the summer months, not that it was all that fast at other times! Focus Group Announcement Second Phase
