This two-part course is offered several times each year. The parts must be taken sequentially because they build on one another; however, they may be taken at different times offered. While completion of this newly revised workshop is required for Vestry membership, the Stewardship Committee and to be a Diocesan Convention Delegate, all who are currently in leadership or desire to move into leadership in this parish are encouraged to attend.
The course has three goals:
To raise up leaders who intimately understand the parish’s
Mission and how it relates to our passion for a multi-generational approach to being the Church.
To raise up leaders who intimately understand the parish’s Vision and how it relates to our passion for changing lives with the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To raise up leaders who intimately understand the parish’s Strategy and how it relates to our passion for doing all that we do with excellence to glorify the Lord.
The course has pre-requisites:
Having a deep and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and having evidenced a willingness to live into the Baptismal Covenant to “proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ”.
Having evidenced a love for the Lord by a serious commitment to ministry in home, Church and community.
Having demonstrated a commitment to spiritual growth through regularly attending worship services and Christian education classes, daily Bible study and prayer.
Having made a commitment to tithing.
Having completed the Connections Class.
Having completed the “Statement of Faith for Ministry at The Church of the Cross”.
