CLEAVE stands for:
Church Leadership Energization And Vision Enhancement
On Wednesday, September 10th, at 6:30pm, the leadership of The Church of the Cross will gather for a CLEAVE meeting in the Parish Hall on the Calhoun Street Campus. This will be a time of reflection and challenge for the journey ahead.
Dinner will be served and childcare will be available. Fried chicken and baked turkey will be provided. We ask that those attending bring a favorite side dish to share with others. Leaders, please mark the date on your calendars and RSVP to either Church office (757-2661 or 757-2763). If you need childcare, please let us know in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.
This will not be a meeting; it will be an EVENT!
Why CLEAVE?
The Church of the Cross is a dynamic fast growing parish with a vision that now embraces two campuses and over 50 ministries. Arising from that growth is the ongoing need to maintain unity in the leadership team – CLEAVE is an instrument designed to do just that.
Who will gather at this event?
At our next CLEAVE event, ALL leaders will be invited to join together to share…vision, success in various ministries, challenges, and strategies. ALL leaders includes clergy, vestry, staff, ministry heads and those who take part in making worship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism and fellowship happen! Leaders will sit together, learn from one another, and see the amazing ways that God is working in each of us to build His Kingdom in Southern Beaufort and Jasper Counties.
What is a Leader?
A leader at The Church of the Cross is anyone who has moved from observation to participation in bringing people closer to a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are the leader for a group of volunteers, you are leading and have a place at this event. If you usher, greet, serve food, provide childcare, minister to one another through word, action or deed, serve on a worship team or the altar guild, you are leading and have a place at this event.
Leaders Don’t Miss This Exciting EVENT!
CLEAVE is being expanded from ‘just a meeting’ to a must attend EVENT so that we as leaders can come to understand exactly how God has called us to work as a Body to accomplish His vision for us. We must learn to lead with intention so that we can live into what God is calling us to do in a way that honors Him. Leaders will not want to miss the music, fellowship and energy that will highlight this evening!
