 Lowcountry Cookbook passes down generations of recipes……
For generations, families have been handing down their favorite recipes. For all of those families, who haven't been so lucky, you can find hundreds of favorite family recipes in this cookbook.
Over 300 recipes are revealed in this wonderful cookbook, now in it's third printing. Hundreds of Bluffton families who are members or friends of The Church of the Cross were asked to submit their favorite recipes that have been handed down from mother to daughter, grandmother to grandson, aunt to niece, father to son. Then came the fun part, sampling each recipe and selecting the best 300 for the cookbook. The parishioners and friends were used to sample recipes such as "Smokin Joe's Pancake Mix, Grits and Sausage Casserole, Jambalaya, Nannie's Oatmeal Cookies" to name a few.
Ever wondered how to make that wonderful "Real Southern Iced Tea"? Just look on page 43. Or how about the mouth watering "Rosemary Grilled Chicken with Lemon Pepper Butter"? With only seven simple ingredients, you can impress your family and friends with this easy recipe.
Because many of the recipes are so quick and easy to understand, this cookbook is perfect for men and women. It is a must have for the busy family that wonders every evening what they will prepare after a long day at work. Many of the recipes have only a few ingredients and most of those you will find on your pantry shelf.
Families in Bluffton have long enjoyed afternoons sitting on a dock on the May River enjoying food and drink.
