And the Dance goes on…..
Said to be much like the movement of two people dancing, marriage took on a new dimension during the recently concluded Marriage Moves series. When God shows up great things happen. Hear from those who were there……
“Marriage Moves was a great experience for us, after being married for nearly 40 years we managed to understand how different we are as a man and a woman. Also for years every time I corrected Martin constructively he took it as a criticism instead of understanding that my intention for the correction was to try to lift him up, just for this it was worthwhile taking the course.
The tapes were great fun and the talk of Chuck and Becky were exceptionally good, as was the question and answer period. It was wonderful to see how God intended a Christian marriage to function. The food and the organization were outstanding.”

“As a young couple, only married for 4 years, it was encouraging to learn that all couples – no matter how long they have been married – basically encounter the same communication barriers. God created men and women differently and beautifully – so that they compliment one another and learn from each other. It was comforting to discover that although these obstacles may always exist, that if we put God first and our spouses above ourselves that He will bless our marriages more than we could ever imagine. The testimony of Chuck and Becky’s marriage and their love for one another was so refreshing in a society where marriage is often thrown away too easily. We laughed a lot and along the way, we learned a lot. Ultimately, we walked away with a better understanding of one another and a better appreciation of our differences. “

“Just to say thank you for the beautiful and deeply reflective series of marriage Moves which you presented to us. Not only were we moved to a renewed commitment in our Christian walk, but also in our marriage as well.
Chuck you indeed came across last evening with the uncompromised Gospel message as it relates to marriage. It certainly gave us no room for excuses or alibis whatsoever. Jesus is Lord of all, or not as all! We have not option but by His grace in all of life. Thank you and Becky. What a precious helpmate you are! You looked beautiful last night.”

“The "Marriage Moves" class was wonderful!! Not only did we enjoy a terrific evening with other couples, but we received fresh nourishment for our marriage "journey" that will last us a lifetime! Chuck and Becky's honesty, warmth and humor in addition to the Mark Gungor video clips were just amazing!!! We didn't want to skip a night!!!”

"Thank you and Becky and your sister and mom for the great finish to the Marriage Course. The ladies worked so hard to make for a nice reception following Wednesday's session. Thank them for us, please.
Judy and I have been married 43 years and we learned things about ourselves and about how we can be better for each other. Thank you and Becky for your hard work putting this together."

"Amanda and I had a wonderful time at the Marriage Course. It gave us a chance to reflect on our marriage and really learn the differences between men and women. We finished the course with a better understanding of each other and the reasons we are the way we are. It was also a great opportunity to get to know other couples from the church that
we hadn’t met before. Thanks for everything. We had a blast."

"Marriage Moves was highly educational and most entertaining! Canidates for marriage and those allready married should be able to view and hear this information."

The Marriage Moves series will be held again in April 2009. The four-week program lead by Father Chuck and Becky Owens uses Biblical teachings, their personal experience of 37 years of marriage, and humor to help husbands and wives understand what God created marriage to be and how we can honor Him in our actions and hearts.
Don’t miss this important teaching. Mark you calendars now for April 22 – May 13, 2009!
The four sessions are:
Session I April 22
“We’re Not Equal – We’re Different”
Session II April 29
“Living With what We Can’t Change”
Session III May 6
“Changing What We Cannot Live with”
Session IV May 13
“When all Else Fails – Forgiveness”
Father Owens and Becky will be sharing the experience and insights they have gathered during their 37 years of marriage, emphasizing the way husbands and wives are a complement and match to each as they move together like dancers.
Taught on the Buckwalter Parkway Campus, the series will begin each week with food and fellowship followed by a teaching and small group time. Childcare will be provided.
